'Sunday Brunch and a Walk' Shoes

Today's choice....
From ShoeShow
These are my FAVORITE casual shoes (OK, I might say that about some other shoes).  A great loafer is GREAT for almost anything!  As you can tell from the photo, I have WORN these shoes a lot.  But they are still in good shape and I hope to get a long life out of them!  These loafers are by Me Too.  Please notice the patent leather... nice touch.  The shininess makes me feel special and brings fun, even in my regular jeans and t-shirt uniform!

Of course, I got these at DSW!  So, though I don't remember exactly how much I paid for them, I am SURE I got a great deal.  And they look great under a table....

and are so comfortable.... I can walk the neighborhood with ease.

If you like this look, I found some similar loafers on shoes.com, Zappos, and DSW.

Now it is time to decide on the shoes of the week...

Shoes of the Week - 1/25/10

From ShoeShow

Well, it has been wet or raining and 55 degrees for over a week.  I was hoping that the weather would clear this week, but so far no sun. :(

So, last week was all about golashes!  I love my golashes, but I could not wear them for another week.  The next best thing.... boots!  Basic black boots - classic.

I own two great pairs of black boots... but the crappy weather calls for the chunky block heels.
These are my Franco Sarto boots.  They have a super flexible and comfortable rubber sole and a nice stable 3 inch heel.  Perfect for the office or a little fun!

Of course, I got mine at DSW (my favorite place to shop).  But Franco Sarto shoes can be found at Nordstrom, Zappos, Shoes.com and plenty of other places.  I can't find my exact pair online, but these are pretty close.

The Shoes of the Day - BBQ with Friends

I often choose shoes of the day or shoes of the week.  This afternoon I had to pick shoes for a Sunday afternoon BBQ with friends.

What did I think about when making today's choice?
-    activity
-    comfort
-    weather
-    the look

So, this was pretty easy today!  There is not a lot of activity at a BBQ.  I need to be able to stand around and walk around comfortably.  Since I have not been to the house before, I did want to wear a pair of shoes that are easy to slip on and off (just in case of a ‘no shoes’ indoors rule).

The weather!  It has been raining in this area for a week.  It was likely that it would at least drizzle at some point during the evening.  So, for me, that means no open toes and no slippery soles.

The look!  Well, cute and casual is great for a BBQ.

So, the winning shoes were:

These shoes are old favorites!  They are at least 3 years old, BC Footwear (TM) shoes that I purchased at a DSW in Atlanta, Ga.  The wedges make them amazingly comfortable!  It feels like wearing super cute tennis shoes.

Again, perfect for a BBQ and I even got an unsolicited compliment from another guest.  Proof of a great choice!
